Scsi error

After installing an Adapted SCSI card AHA2940 into my ML530 I am getting an error in the TN event log saying "The device, \Device\ScsiPort5, did not respond within the time-out period. " It has an event ID of 9 and a source of "Cpqarry2" . Everything works fine but the messages are annoying. What do I need to do to get rid of them? The server has a 431 embedded controller handling the SO drives and a 4200 controller handling a storage works cabinet

Re: Scsi error

First - make sure the Adaptec's BIOS is disabled ("Ctrl A" during boot - change settings). Make sure it's NOT the primary in F10 setup (shouldn't be, but...). You may need to reinstall the array controller drivers as there may be some issue with the I/O address or... (kinda guessing here - haven't seen this).
