Server model?
Can you boot from windows or smart start CD, without black screen?
You have any POST messages saying its fan problem?

Still no go.
Replaced the systemboard. Worked.
The 2nd processor socket on the sysboard was faulty.

Safe mode hasn't been mentioned yet. Can you boot in to Safe Mode?
I'm wondering if it's a video card or video driver problem?
