Server can't find disks after reboot during smart Start process
I have here a ML 370 G2 with a Smart array 5302 Controller in slot 3 and two Fibre channel adapters in port 1 and 2.
During the smart start process I come to the Smart Array configuration section. I have assigned there the disks to an array like i have done this often before. But after a reboot comes the following error message up:
"SmartSart can't continue because there are no physical or logical disks on the primary controller
Error Code 59
The System Erase Utility must be run to prepare the system to run SmartStart again.
..."
Do you have an Idea what I could do and what the reason could be?
Cheers
Christian

Re: Server can't find disks after reboot during smart Start process
You will have to start the process over, but at some point in time make sure you make the 5302 the primary boot controller by either hitting F8 when it initializes and choosing "Make boot controller" (not sure on wording), or press F9 and go into the RBSU and make it first in there.
For some reason it doesn't get made 1st boot controller.
