Server Proliant ML330 G3 & Apc Smart UPS 420 2°
On december I've write this message
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=327166 .
Past week we have contacted the italian costumer care HP in order to
resolve the problem with they. The answer has been " is not a product
HP and we do not make attendance" our answer has been OK but when the
new bios version will be reissued that it will contain the solution to
this problem? The answer has been does not know it... And the
communication is ended.
We have a CarePack contract 3 years Next Business Day and we pay for this.
We don't understand policy of HP in dealing with the customer.
We have marked more times to HP and APC this problem but null it is made in
order to resolve it. Indeed it has been said to acquire an HP product or change the Server.
We want only solved our problem and in acceptable times.
Seem too many 4 months for a problem like that for a server of whichever
kind and producer is.
Thanks for the fast answer that you will give me.

Re: Server Proliant ML330 G3 & Apc Smart UPS 420 2°
Salve Stefano,
I had once created that setup and the same thing happened to me. Once that the input power on the APC is removed the server, after the preset time expire, will start the shutdown process.
The server will not turn off but it will keep on â now it is safe to turn off the serverâ . If power is regained on the APC, the batteries will start up charging again and when it reaches the 90% of the charge it will automatically boot up the server again.
I think that u have to look into your settings and check the start shutdown time.
Hope this helps out,
ciao
