Server Restart - HP DL380 G7
Hello Together,
perhaps you can help, with one server error on a HP DL380 G7.
Everyday the server restarts with the following event id:
41
Kernel-Power
The system was unexpected....
I read all the entries at the event-log but there is nothing special bevor the server reboot.
Could you help me with some ideas?
Thanks for your help
Jochen

Re: Server Restart - HP DL380 G7
Hi,
OS version?
FIX:Follow the steps below to resolve this issue: 1. Check if the server is connected to UPS or not. 2. Update the server (Last SPP). 3. Dump configuration. 4. BIOS configuration. BIOS - Maximum performance: o Restart the server. o On the POST, press F9 to open the server BIOS configuration page (RBSU). o Select Power Management options and hit Enter. o Select HP Power Profile and hit Enter. o Select Maximum Performance and hit Enter. - C-states -> no C-states: o Select Power Management options and hit Enter. o Select Advanced Power Management options and hit Enter. o Select Minimum Processor Idle Power State and hit Enter. o Select No C-states and hit Enter. o Under Power Management Options, go to HP Power Regulator. o The default option is HP Dynamic Power Savings Mode. o Select the option OS Control Mode. - HP Power regulator -> HP Static High Performance Mode: o Select Power Management options and hit Enter. o Select HP Power regulator and hit Enter. o Select HP Static High Performance Mode.
Erdogan.

Re: Server Restart - HP DL380 G7
It's the Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.
Could you explain me, where I can get the SPP?
Thanks
