Sizing a print server
Hello eveyone! This is my 1st post here. Anyway, I need to spec out a ProLiant server that will host some 200 SAP printers. These printers are currently being hosted on a Risc based AIX box by our SAP hosting company. However, this box also does other functions and the performance is bad. Our management wants to bring our SAP implementation back in-house and thought the printers would be a good start. I don't have any print volume stats yet, but I know that it is intensive. Are there any tools or guidelines available that I can use to help size a server?

Re: Sizing a print server
Hello there. What operating system do you want to have on the print servers? What is the speed of the network that you are installing the printers on? What version of SAP are you using, as the versions are a little different in the size of the print queues? There are quite a few sets of guidelines, depending on the operating system you are using.
