Slot 1 Smart Array - Controller failed on previous power-up due to lock up code 0x14803.
The server is a Proliant DL380 gen 10
The HPE Smart Array E208e-p SR only has a tandberg overland autoloader connected; all storage is on a different interface.
The firmware on the card is 7.11
The server is crashing during Veeam tape jobs; sometimes I find it on the HPE splash screen prior to the POST checks. Sometimes there's a red screen of death but the last time this was observed I wasn't able to screen grab it.
It seems only to happen during times when the tape drive is active.
What additional troubleshooting steps can I take?

Re: Slot 1 Smart Array - Controller failed on previous power-up due to lock up code 0x1480
Hello,
Please review the following documents and see if they are of any help:
Document ID: a00126834en_us
Document ID: a00139077en_us
Also, ensure that the drive connected is an HPE option. If it is a third party option, please contact the vendor for further assistance.

Re: Slot 1 Smart Array - Controller failed on previous power-up due to lock up code 0x1480
Hi @timgowen ,
I suggest the following steps -
1) Update the firmware of Controller and the disks. It is better to update all system component firmware using SPP.
2) In the Intelligent Provisioning (Press F10 after a reboot or power on), diagnose the Array controller. You can aslo diagnose the array in OS, refer this link.
3) This page may help you to understand the issue better.
Please let me know if the issue still persist. If my steps worked, please give 'kudos' and mark my post as 'Solution accepted'
