smart array 431 controller
I'm running linux 7.0 (kernel 2.2.18) and i'm getting a lot of the following error messages on my disk array (4x 36Gb disks):
kernel: Non Fatal error on ida/c0d0
kernel: Fatal error on ida/c0d0
last message repeated 15 times
kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device
kernel: 48:01: rw=0, want=1010576432, limit=142241024
kernel: dev 48:01 blksize=4096 blocknr=252644107 sector=2021152856 size=4096 count=1
I'd like to know if there is a sollution for this problem.
Best regards
Antonie Colbers

Re: smart array 431 controller
Hi.
I get the same message over and over and them the server freezes.
It's caused by the Storage Agent, but I too have failed to fix it :(
Tried with the 2.2.16, 2.2.17, 2.2.18 and 2.4.1 kernel with the patches recommended by Compaq.
If someone could help, i'd appreciate that alot.
Regards,
Bruno Guerreiro

Re: smart array 431 controller
solved the problem by removing the compaq health driver package.
