Smart Array B110i Drive Failure Notification

I just helped a client through losing 2 drives simultaneously in an HP ML150G6. Fortunately they had really good backups.

In the future, they'd like some kind of notification of a drive failure. Most servers will beep or show an indicator on the chassis but we got no such warning about an impending failure.

Is there a way to get an email notification or something?

There should be event logging even with the B110i. Check if this advisory applies.
