Re: Smart Array Controller P400 cache ratio
To enable the write cache on a SmartArray controller you must have installed the BBWC (Battery Backed Write Cache) option.
Without it there is the possibility of data loss in the event of power failure, hence why you can't have any write cache.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob

Re: Smart Array Controller P400 cache ratio
It can be changed in ACU - Array Configuration Utility however it can be done only if the controller has a battery-backed cache (because only battery-backed cache can be used for write cache) and if there are logical drives configured on the controller.
If bbwc is present this doc should be helpful ( though this is for old ACU version , setting should be similar on the new ACU version as well )
