Smart Array P410 - HP Proliant DL180 G6 - Error 0xea & 0xab
Hi,
Ive got a Problem with a HP Proliant DL180 G6 in combination with an P410 Smart Array Card.
In the last Month the server will freeze at random times with a lot of I/O Errors on screen.
Im using Proxmox for server virtualization.
On reboot i get this nice window with. the error:
1719-Slot 1 Drive Array - A controller failure event occurred prior to this nower-up. (Previous lock up code = Oxea)
or
1719-Slot 1 Drive Array - A controller failure event occurred prior to this power-un. (Previous lock up code = Oxab)
i can't find any explanation of these codes online and i already changed the P410. (im on the latest Firmware 6.64)
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this error ?

Re: Smart Array P410 - HP Proliant DL180 G6 - Error 0xea & 0xab
Hello,
You may update the HPE Smart Array P410 Controller's drive by download and install it from the HPE Smart Array P410 Controller drive download page. As the virtualization software is based on KVM, you may try that of Linux distributions.
The driver is available only for Microsoft, Novell, Red Hat, SUSE and VMware operating systems.
You may select the one that would be appropriate to your environment.
If the issue is not resolved, then please contact HPE support using the support case manager for further assistance.
Regards,
I work at HPE

Re: Smart Array P410 - HP Proliant DL180 G6 - Error 0xea & 0xab
Hi,
Thanks for the response.
Do you mean by "update the Controllers drive" the normal firmware of the Controller itself ?
The only available Update there is 6.64 and its already installed.
Or do you mean any kind of drivers for the running OS.
Is it possible that this is beeing caused by a missing driver ?

Re: Smart Array P410 - HP Proliant DL180 G6 - Error 0xea & 0xab
Thanks but the Firmware seams to be only for P440ar, P440, P441, P542D, P741m, P840, P840ar, and P841 and not P410.
Or ist this still compatible ?

Re: Smart Array P410 - HP Proliant DL180 G6 - Error 0xea & 0xab
Sorry for the mistake, but I put the link thinking that the controller was the P440. The P410 is not on that list, but you can search for it anyway and you will find the firmware.

Re: Smart Array P410 - HP Proliant DL180 G6 - Error 0xea & 0xab
I have found that within the same firmware version that you have installed, there is a version "b" surely they have added some modification, but I don't know if it will solve your problem.
