Smart Array P440ar in slot UNKNOWN

I am seeing the below error message in the SSA (only in the OS, it does not appear in SSA when accessing through Intelligent provisioning.)This is on a ProLiant DL380 Gen9.

"Smart Array P440ar in slot UNKNOWN  Critical: Controller unknown error. The controller is currently in an unknown error state.  Please restart the system. If the problem persists, please replace the controller."

I've tried replacing the controller, the battery, updating firmware on the controller and iLO but am still seeing this error.  All of the drives are visible and am still able to get into the OS.

If its only within the operating system, I would ask if you have tried updating the drivers for the P440ar?
