Smart Array P840: Erase data stuck at 0.00%
Greetings guys. Please help me to take a look at my server. Here is the issue:
1. Trying to erase the data on these drives. But it seems stuck at Progress: 0.00%
2. Is this abnormal? What action should I take next?
Smart Array P840. Any reply is appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Smart Array P840: Erase data stuck at 0.00%
Hi,
It may take some time depending on the I/O activity of the controller.
Here are some videos with examples:

Hello,
Since you have multiple high capacity disks.
We would suggest to wait for the operation to complete.

Re: Smart Array P840: Erase data stuck at 0.00%
I have a similar thing happending with 8 disks 600Gb 15k SAS disk on P408i
4 of the disks execute the zero erase in about 3 hours.
4 others of model number EH000600JWHPN got stuck at 0%
I am only 1 firmware revision behind from current.
What was your solution?
