Smart Array Problem

Having configured a 1500 /P75 as DSL - server, I finally applied the 2.26 bios to the original smart array controller. After that the following message appears during every boot process:

1777 Slot 4 Drive Array - Proliant Storage System Problem Detected
SCSI Port 1: Interrupt Signal Inoperative - Check SCSI Cables

and the system halts. After pressing F1 WIN98 seems to start normal, although the disk speed seems to be a little slow (OK, it?s only a P75).

Changing controllers (all with system revision 2.26), cables or fixed disks did not change anything.

Do I have a problem (aside of the necessary user intervention at boot time)?
Do I have to downgrade the Smart Array BIOS? And if, where do I get the necessary old BIOS file?
Or is it some strange hardware problem.

Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance

Re: Smart Array Problem

upgrade the system bios to match the controller bios...ie to the latest...otherwise reflash the controller..it could have been a bad flash
