SmartStart 4.8 load on DL380 Hangs

I'm trying to load smartstart 4.8 on a Proliant DL380 server. I erased all the settings and did the F10 quickstart thing and after it asks what o/s it loads some configuration files and then the screen goes blank and the activity light blinks continuously.
