Smartstart 7.91 issue on DL360 G4
I tried to update a DL360 G4 (OS: W2k3 SP2)with the drivers on SS 7.91. When I start the GUI, it stops responding during the HW-scan. I can close the GUI but the processes are still running. I can't stop them manually. I can't reboot the server vwith shutdown menu. To get access to the server again, I have to switch off/switch on power. Does anyone knows about the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Smartstart 7.91 issue on DL360 G4
there is a SS 7.92 but I think is only for dl320 g5p and Dl310 g5, but what if try installing windows manually not using SS and after that you use Proliant support pack to install all the drivers
also
do you have right now installed latest firmware?

Re: Smartstart 7.91 issue on DL360 G4
problem solved, but still wondering:
2 servers are running the support pack without problems after performing a firmware upgrade.
1 server installs the support pack when using the cmd-file in the support pack folder.
1 server still has problems with cmd-file.
All 4 servers are installed on the same day, by the same person, with the same OS and patches... ?!?!?

Re: Smartstart 7.91 issue on DL360 G4
you meant Proliant Support Pack I was thinking you were talking abut SmartStart CD
what kind of issue with cmd file? installation hangs? or a specific error?
