SmartStart for Proliant 6000 Server

I was wondering if someone can tell me what is the lastest SmartStart for a Proliant 6000 Server and where I can get it?

The last version that would work for this server was version 5.50. You can order it by calling 1-800-573-1099.

I Tried that version boots up with the logo and it just hangs there.

try bringing down your server to the minimum hardware. I mean take out extra storage attached to it take out the RIB board if any and then try.

This is the frist Compaq server that I try to rebuild. I'm using the SmartStart CD Version 5.50. I have 3 9GB drive in port 1. I ran the CD but it hangs on the SmartStart logo it stays there for a few min. then the system reboots. I canot figure out why it's doing this.Can anyone help me.

Well I found out what the problem was. It was the Cd rom drive. I changed it out now all is good. Thanks for the help!

Hi
I was having the same problems with my proliant 5500. Plz try the following.

Connect the server directly with a KB Mouse and monitor.(Disconnect from KVM switch)

Keep the minimum amount of memory what you need for your software installation.

The memory in the banks should be in descending order from 1 to 4 and so on. I mean to say the maxmimum amount of memory in bank one and then going down...

Take out rib card or any other card installed in the server and then see.
