SNAPBACKUP SOFTWARE AND ARRAY CONTROLLER
We use a backup product called snapback (www.cdp.com). This can completed disaster recovery backups under NT and Novell (works very similar to GHOST).
When doing a restore using a DOS 6 bootdisk loading FWS2ASPI.SYS it reconginize the DLT but SNAPBACK fails to see the DLT and or the Drivers on the Intergrated Array Controller. The DLT (EXT) is on Compaq Wide Ultra PCI Card.
The same problem happens with ghost.
We have the same configuration with a ML370 and the same bootdisk works for both GHOST and SNAPBACK.
Please could you advise me on what to try next?
Thank you

Re: SNAPBACKUP SOFTWARE AND ARRAY CONTROLLER
The DLT isolated on a separate Compaq Wide Ultra PCI Card should load CPQSCSI.HAM and CPQASPI.CDM. If DLT is attached EXT on Intergrated Array Ctlr with the ROC removed and the internal cable remove tape device should be seen at POST and SCU. Check and verify the latest and greatest System bios and Compaq System Configurtion Utility 2.53A or 2.54A (sp17272.exe for sys. bios) (sp14381 or sp16319 for SCU). Use drivers strictly from the Compaq NSSD's from the Website or SS 4.90 and place on bootable Server disk for Netware.

Re: SNAPBACKUP SOFTWARE AND ARRAY CONTROLLER
Sorry I did not explain the dos disk very well. The DLT is isolated on a Compaq Wide Ultra PCI card.
The bootdisk loads FWS2ASPI.SYS, which see the Compaq Wide Ultra PCI Card and the DLT, then SNAPBACK DOS RECOVERY program loads. Snapback can restore a NT or Novell using a DOS boot and nothing been on the hard disks (this same as symantec Ghost).
The System Configuration is on 2.54A.
Thank you.
