snmpwalk to "1.3.6.1.4.1.232" failed on HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 with Linux
I have purchased a HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 server which I am trying to monitor with SNMP via Zabbix.
I have downloaded the Zabbix template HPE ProLiant DL360 by SNMP but when I try to link the template to the VM it fails because it "Cannot find host interface on VM" When I look at the template I see that the OID used to search for interface information is as follows.
snmp_oid: 'discovery[{#ADAPTER_INDEX},1.3.6.1.4.1.232.18.2.3.1.1.1,{#ADAPTER_NAME},1.3.6.1.4.1.232.18.2.3.1.1.39]'
If I try running snampwalk -v1 -c {community} {HOST} | grep 3.6.1.4.1.232
I get nothing back from the server. This OID does not exist on the server.
Digging a little deeper I have checked for a number of other OID that exist within the template, these do not exist on the server.
I assume that the incorrect OID info is being requested from the server.
Does anyone know where I can get OID information on the server.
Thanks
Lawrence

Re: Query: snmpwalk to "1.3.6.1.4.1.232" failed on HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 with L
I am very sorry but looking through the page on the link you provided I cannot see how this is relevant to me understanding why I cannot read the OID 3.6.1.4.1.232 from the HP DL360 device.
Thanks for clarifying.

OID's provided by HPE would be in the MIB's. Please check the below link:-

If you feel this was helpful please click the KUDOS! Thumbs below!
