Solaris on ML350 G6
Hi Experts,
I like to install Solaris 10 5/08 on HP Proliant ML350G6. Is it possible,if yes what is the minimum requirements as when I'm trying to install it gives the messages that the array controller is not compatible.

Re: Solaris on ML350 G6
Kranti,
Solaris is not officially supported by HP on this server - http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13241_div/13241_div.HTML but it is supported on ML370 G6 and both of them use P410i as default storage controller. I think, you should try
1) Firmware upgrade of storage controller (i had an issue when OS worked only with one exact version of FW)
2) if 1) won't work, try to install 10/09 - it may have an updated driver.
Regards,
Philipp.

Re: Solaris on ML350 G6
hi,
here is the link for server matrices for solaris
http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/492635-0-0-0-121.html
so you could not install Solaris to the ML350 servers.
