Solution to Installing Windows 2000 - Reboot loop

On dual processor system - Start installation w/ both processors in. After stage one completes (file copy, blue screen), shut it down, remove processor 2, and finish the installation on one processor. For mine, I swapped them, so you may want to try that. After installation completes, reinsert processor 2 (and PPM if required, of course). Boot system, press CTRL, SHIFT, ESC., go to the performance tab and be sure there are two processor modules. If not, it didn't work for you.
