SPP 2020.09.1 & ProLiant DL385 Gen10 - The firmware update operation failed
Wondering if anyone can help, we have attempted to deploy SPP 2020.09.1 via OneView and SUT, we are getting the following error in OneView "The firmware update operation failed" and in ESXi Shell "Component (CP043666.zip) is already up to date. Skipping the update", component CP043666.zip is iSUT 2.7.0 which as the ESXi Shell message states is already installed and up-to-date, all other components installed fine but now in OneView it no longer looks compliant.

Re: SPP 2020.09.1 & ProLiant DL385 Gen10 - The firmware update operation failed
Hi,
The message stating that the component is already installed and it skips.
cp043666.zip is "Integrated Smart Update Tools 2.7.0 for ESXi 7.0"
When you are saying "now in OneView it no longer looks compliant" what does it mean?
Thank You!

Re: SPP 2020.09.1 & ProLiant DL385 Gen10 - The firmware update operation failed
Maybe I used the wrong terminology in saying that it no longer looks compliant, basically what I mean under Server Profiles the server is marked as red with a banner saying "The firmware update operation failed." with alertTypeID "profilemgr.FirmwareSettingsInconsistent", trying to upload a snapshot of the error but it won't let me for some reason, option is greyed out. The only options are to re-apply the Server Profile Template which will stage the failed component again or leave it as it is, so we appear to be stuck in this loop. I've tried creating a custom SPP without iSUT included and that fails to upload to Firmware Bundles.

Re: SPP 2020.09.1 & ProLiant DL385 Gen10 - The firmware update operation failed
In rare cases we have seen Smart Update Manager service (SUMaaS) will have incorrect information in its cache and cause error message alerts such as "The firmware update operation failed".
So please check by manually removing all SPPs and re-adding the latest SPPs first and readd the rest.
Or raise a support ticket with HPE support team to run the Clean_Cache script to clear the SUM cache.
