SSD could not be authenticated as a genuine HP drive (P408i-p)
I have a ML380 running a HPE Smart Array P408i-p SR Gen 10 controller. I have 4 SAS SSDs installed. They are configured in one logical drive RAID 1+0. The array is wokring fine, but I am getting a warning:
Warning(s)
281 960 GB SATA 512e SSD at Port 1I : Box 1 : Bay 2 could not be authenticated as a genuine HPE drive. The Smart Array controller will not control the LEDs to this drive.
All 4 drives are identical, so I doubt the issue is with a drive.
The controller has FW 3.00 (seemmingly the newest version. Where should I look next?

Re: SSD could not be authenticated as a genuine HP drive (P408i-p)
I am not aware of any changes (drivers, firmware) in the recent past. I also am not aware how long the issue has been present. I just noticed it, but it could have been happeneing for a long time.

Hello,
Please consider logging a case with HPE support at Support Case Manager. Take a high resolution picture of the hard disk, both sides, the invoice for the purchase and attach it on the case that you create.
