STOP 0x000000A5 When Installing Windows 2000
Having updated the Bios to the latest version and having the main system board replaced, I'm still encountering this above error message under dos based setup of Windows 2000.
I'm doing a manual Smart Start (5.2) and automated 2000 (with SP2) install via CD and winnt.sif. I've also tried Smart Start 5.1 and W2K with SP1.
I've not had any problems using this method on DL360, DL380G2, ML370, ML570 and DL760 previously.
What am I missing???
Any help greatly appreciated.
Mike D

Re: STOP 0x000000A5 When Installing Windows 2000
Follow up...
Apparently the 5302 Raid controller cannot exist on the same PCI bus as the RIB card??!!??
This is an ML530Array model. The 5302 controller is delivered in place and the RIB board has only one location...
About to try moving the 5302 controller card to another slot on a different PCI bus...
Help!

Re: STOP 0x000000A5 When Installing Windows 2000
plug the RIB in to the only 32bit/33mhz PCI slot that you have (slot 1 if memory serves)
Plug your 5302 (which is a 64/66 card right?) in to the 64 bit/66mhz bus slot 8 I believe. It will also work just fine in the 64/33 slots.
