Storage Enclosure 4314 & 4354
Hi All,
I have a Storage Enclosure 4314 and it is connected to an ML370 G3 server. I have 10 hard disks (146.8GB 10K) in 2 seperate RAID5 volumes in this enclosure. I plan to add 3 more hard disks to this enclosure. Can I add 300GB 10K hard disks to this enclosure or 146.8GB 15K hard disks? If I remove this storage from this server and attach it to another server is there a possibility of any data loss, how would the OS recognize the logical partitions in windows and access the data. Both servers are ML370 G3, and both have a 642 smart array controller. Your help is appreciated.

Re: Storage Enclosure 4314 & 4354
Yes, you can, without problems. Remember to add 300GB disks to separate array, because if you expand on them exiting array with 146GB disks, 300GB disks will be truncated to 146GB.
Also this is U160 Enclosures, you can upgrade it to U320 with U320 I/O module.
