Sysprep of DL360 G4 to DL360 G3 SCSI controller
We are having a problem using ghost and sysprep. We have a good image on the G4 but when we load onto the G3 we cannot boot.
I have put it down to the SCSI controller 6i on G4, 5i on G3. Does anyone know of the right way to ignore or update the controller using sysprep.
Thanks Terry

Re: Sysprep of DL360 G4 to DL360 G3 SCSI controller
i had a issue like while moving a Dl360 G3 Harddisk with OS to Blade BL20G3
The resolution was to patch the registry.
As a hint use this article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314082
and do it in the same manner for the smart array driver,
i first suggest to use the latest supportpack and bios on both controllers.
It worked for me
however this procedure is highly unsupported.
Regards
Martin

Re: Sysprep of DL360 G4 to DL360 G3 SCSI controller
I have decided from reading up that there is no ideal answer to this question yet to produce the results that I want. I will swap the G3 Servers for 2 G4 servers. This will make the ghosted servers all G4's
Thanks for your help
