System Boot Failure during system reboot

After warm booting the server, the OS begins to load and just before Windows appears (after Starting up... completes), the server will completely shut down, as if the power cables were both disconnected.
If the server is selected to be shutdown, and powered off, then turned back on, there are no issues - system comes up fine.

- WIndows 2000 Server (Ver 5.0.2195, SP2 Installed)
- All Windows Update Hotfixes
- Compaq Support Paq for Win 2K Ver 5.10 B
- All firmwares in system have been updated to the current releases
- 1 x Powersupply
- 2 x P2 Xeon @ 450Mhz
- 1Gb Compaq RAM
- 8 x 36Gb Compaq Disks
- Compaq SmartArray 3100ES

Only errors in the System log after the unexpected shutdown is as follows:

Access denied attempting to launch a DCOM Server. The server is:
{9DA0E106-86CE-11D1-8699-00C04FB98036}
The user is SYSTEM/NT AUTHORITY, SID=S-1-5-18.

I have blown away the machine, and even with an vanilla Windows 2000 install, SP1 and Compaq Support Paq for Win 2K Ver 5.10 B (even V5.08A) the problem persists.
