system doesn't boot
Hi!!
I've replaced a smart array 3200 on a 5500 proliant because it bacame demaged. once the smart was changed for a new one the array appeared as unconfigured, i used smartstart in order to reconfigure the array and back to the original configuration. once done it i tryied to boot the system but a messages appear saying:
"no system devices"
can someone help me.

The 3200 and 5300 controller are using different drivers and although the no system device''(non system disk) is fix by chose the right controller boot order in this case it will not boot to the os since you must install the driver for the 5300 prior to the swap.
What I would suggest IF NOT to late you will have to put back the 3200 and just put the 5300 next to it with no cable and run the CSP so it load the proper driver in the sytem/driver folder that attemps the swap. Hoping the original boot array is still Ok.
