System driver hardware mirror
I have an HP Ploliant DL580 G2 with a smart array 5i system board controller doing mirroring of my system drive. The system drive is an 18.2GB and I would like to replaced it with a 36.4GB drive.
Can, I removed one of the 18.2GB drive and replaced it with the 36.4GB? Then replace the other 18.2GB drive once the mirror completes? Is it possible to do it without disrupting my system?
Thanks in advance for any input or comments.
Ismael

Re: System driver hardware mirror
hi,
Yes it is possible and is ok to do it, however I do recommend to have the storage subsystem up to date...and a data back up will be smart also
Remember after this is done you have to give format to the new space in the OS using like partition magic or so (for windows)
