System Management Homepage again.....

I have the problem with my System Management Homepage only showing Failed & Degraded Items.
I know it is because the SNMP settings. Problem is that every time I change my SNMP settings and things start working again, if I then reboot the server... it somehow pick up a old SNMP setting and change it... these old settings is from the old CIM server I had... it don't exist anymore in my network, and I cannot figure out how this is possible...
I'm stuck...

Are you saying all items are being reported as failed and/or degraded? Are you seeing all items/devices?
What PSP (Proliant Support Pack) version is installed, and what OS?
You need the SNMP service configured so you have at least one Trap (default name is PUBLIC). Then in the Security tab for the SNMP service, you need the same community name listed with at least Read Only rights. You may have to restart SNMP (or restart OS) before SNMP changes take effect.

Take a look at the attacched picture of my screen.
I use the latest Support Pack. 7.30A, SIM is 4.2 with SP2 - Windows 2000 Server SP4.
I am familiar with the settings for SNMP and if I do the settings correct, then everything works fine. I have tried to stop and start the SNMP services.. and everything looks fine. But then if I restart the server, the settings is changed back to the old settings. The server must pick this up from somwhere in the domain, because the old settings have never been set on this new server.
The PDC in this domain is a NT4 Server, and I have scanned the registry on this server, and there is no longer any place that I can find these old SNMP settings.

So if I understand you correctly, the real problem is that Windows 2000 is resetting your SNMP configuration (back to defaults?) whenever you reboot. If so, you might want to post this issue in the Microsoft - Windows 2000 forum to see if some OS gurus have an idea of how this might be happening.

I found that I had some old policy files on my PDC in the domain. I removed them, and everything seems ok now.
