System Power Fault Detected
Hello,
We are experiencing an issue with an old server (a DL380p Gen8): it no longer starts. It briefly lights up the drive LEDs and then immediately starts blinking a red LED. We have two redundant power supplies which appear to be working correctly, as the iLO is functioning properly. Of course, we also tried swapping the power supplies, but without success.
The iLO reports the following error message:
"System Power Fault Detected (XR: 24 00 MID: FF 0D FE CE C0 FF FF 32 32 0C 0C 00 9E 01 00 01 03 47 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)"
Could you help decode this and provide more details about the issue?
BIOS version : P70 05/24/2019
Thank you in advance.
Boris

Re: System Power Fault Detected
Hello @BorisBe07 ,
Please power drain the server (Disconnect the cables for atleast 300 seconds/5 minutes) and check. If the issue remains, clear the NVRAM on the system board. Please find the instructions here - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c03254241&docLocale=en_US Pages 98 & 99. S6 jumper switch is for NVRAM clearance.
NOTE : Clearing the NVRAM will reset all the BIOS settings to its default state. There will be NO impact to the RAID, Data, Network & iLO configuration.
If the issue remains after the above has been carried out, its mostly like a System board or a storage controller related issue (Most probably). Would suggest to log a HPE support ticket for the same.
