Test memory on a DL 320

Hi! Pardon me if this is a stupid question. I am in the process of switching to HP servers from Dell so I'm a bit new to HP tools and such. Is there an application that I can use to test the memory chips in my DL320 G4?

Hi Jay,

To test the memory chips, boot from the Smart Start CD and goto Maintainance option and run the diagnostics. To run test only on memory do custom test for memory only.

If you donot have the Smart start Cd you could download the latest version 7.51 from the following link:

Hi Jay,

Welcome to HP ITRC forums. You will enhance you knowledge here with a lot of techies around!!!!!

You would have received a Smartstart CD along with the server.

Boot from this Smartstart CD and enter the Server Maintainence tab and run the Server diagnostics and you would find the memory test and all the other test on the hardware of the server.
