Hi everybody.
Since i have upgraded my ESXi HPE Proliant DL380 Gen10 to vmware vSphere 8 (from 7), i can't see the status of my hard disks.
The following message is shown in my hardware health, stockage sensors :
the Small Footprint CIM Broker Daemon (SFCBD) is running, but no data has been reported
Does someone with DL380 Gen10 and Vmware Vsphere 8 had this problem ?
Thanks for the help guys.
Have a nice week.

Re: The Small Footprint CIM Broker Daemon (SFCBD) is running, but no data has been reporte
So you guys just removed support for this, and it's "solved?" How about working with VMWare to fix the memory leak issues?
How would you suggest that I monitor the health of my disks, now? Buy an ILO advanced license? That's not what this is really about, is it?
After paying over $800 for a SAS cable, I see the direction where HPE is headed.

Re: The Small Footprint CIM Broker Daemon (SFCBD) is running, but no data has been reporte
Hi Robg,
Storage can be monitored on realtime via these tools: iLO, OneView, and SSA Cli (Smart Storage Administrator Cli) .
To Monitor the hardware status via ILO, you don't require ILO Advanced License.
However there are many features which only activate after a license is installed in ILO like Remote Console, Higher Security States, ILO Alertmail etc this require ILO Advanced licensing.
Thank You.

Re: The Small Footprint CIM Broker Daemon (SFCBD) is running, but no data has been reporte
Yes, alertmail is the issue. I have email alerts already with VMWare vCenter, and we have been monitoring hardware with that for years. Why did you guys drop support for that? The article says memory leaks. In past versions it has been stable. HPE is a huge company, you really don't have resources or time to work together with them to fix the problems with the driver?
Or more likely, you don't care?
