The speed of processor warning
Hi to all, I have proliant DL380 G6 server, he had no errors in event viewer on it untill I installed VMware Server 2.0. Now I have this error "The speed of processor 3 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 30 seconds since the last report" Error Event ID 7 Task Category 7. This error is appearing several times in variation with different processor , group or performance state in seconds.
Any Ideas ?? Thanks.

Re: The speed of processor warning
Hi,
do you have the iLo advanced licence applied. Have you checked to see if a PowerCap has been set there. You can pick Dynamic/OS controlled or specify the restriction manually?
regards
Matt

Re: The speed of processor warning
I didn't solved this yet but there is too much beside to be done, I will post if I find solution.
I have old BIOS , so I read that I need to install new one (if someone also need) http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3884082&swItem=MTX-052a426c2ade4f7fa2ef40dcd2&prodNameId=3884083&swEnvOID=4064&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=2
I didn't checked power cap, nor VT ... but servers configuration is not changed from defaults (from first powering.
