Any ideas to solve this problem without disabling ASR function?

Thanks in advance

Re: The system has rebooted from a Automatic Server Recovery (ASR) event

Additional information:

Some times ago i've the same problem with another server on Windows 2008 x64, and (possibly) solve it after updating all drivers and management agents to newest version.
2 weeks after reboot -> flight OK.

Updates on server with Windows 2008 x32 do not resolve the same problem !?

Re: The system has rebooted from a Automatic Server Recovery (ASR) event

ASR isn't a problem, it's a symptom of a problem. Disabling ASR will only mask the problem.

The Event Category here is System Power. Is it possible that you effectively had a brown out with power to the extent that the OS could no longer operate and ASR rebooted in an attempt to restore availability?

Re: The system has rebooted from a Automatic Server Recovery (ASR) event

I've more than one server connected to R5500 UPS, and no one rebooted except "Windows 2008 x 32" server. Also from HP Power Manager there's no any alarms about "Power Fail".

IMHO the root of the problem -> HP agents (one of them), but it's quite difficult to identify witch.

Re: The system has rebooted from a Automatic Server Recovery (ASR) event

I have had several blades do ASR on a random basis. After updating all the firmware, BIOS, and drivers to the latest versions available (using Version Control Agent to my repository) the ASRs stopped. I can not tell you which was the magic bullet as I updated all at once.

Several updates were newer then PSP 8.3. You need to be careful though because so many of the firmware, BIOS, and driver levels on the blade and in the enclosure have dependencies on each other. This has worked for me but your mileage may vary.

Hope this helps...

ILO driver and firmware will mostlikely be the ones you mention Calvin, i have fix plenty of ASR with this.

and yes, disabling ASR will only mask the problem not fix it
