TL891DLX and 64/66 Dual Channel SCSI HBA

Hi!

I am trying to connect the TL891DLX library to ML370 server.
I have a 64-Bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter Option Part No 129803-B21 and all needed cables.
But, when I power on the server, SCSI BIOS recognizes library only at ASYN speed with 8 BUS!
Why? It must be recognized as 20 MBps speed and 16 BUS (and it properly recognized by Adaptec AHA29160 in another computer). Am I right?

Have you tried isolating which item might be causing this to operate at 8 bit?. I would recommend moving the terminator to the second scsi connector and init just the first drive on the scsi adapter and see what it shows. I'd recommend the same procedure for each item.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: TL891DLX and 64/66 Dual Channel SCSI HBA

I have tried to do this (moving the terminator), but unsuccessfully.
In all three variants of terminator placement SCSI BIOS displays the same - ASYN / 8 bit.
I temporarily connect library to another computer, with AHA29160 HBA. This HBA has properly detect library as 20 MBps / 16 bit.
What's wrong?

It sounds like there might be something wrong with the adapter.

Have you called support about this yet?

Re: TL891DLX and 64/66 Dual Channel SCSI HBA

Moreover, I have two ML370G2 servers - with the same SCSI HBA integrated on the motherboard.
This server also detects its hot-plug drives in cage (18.2 GB Ultra3 10k) as ASYN / 8 bit!
It's very strange, heh?
