Total recovery using DRTAPE backup exec and getting into DRMODE

Hi all, pls help!!!!

Compaq ml370 Winnt4 svr
backup exec 8.5 with idr and ofa.
External Compaq 100gb ait drive.

Basically the problem is that I'm trying to restore a bootable ait backup to a test server we have "above".

Compaq do give some instructions on how to get the DRtape into DRmode but they are very vague and don't work unless it's something else.

I have tested and restored this way before with not many problems except for getting it into dr mode. Has anyone documented this or possibly give me some pointers in how to get it working everytime? I do manage to get the tape drive into drmode as the 2 lights on the front flash at 250mls intervals etc. However, it dosen't want to see it as a bootable device. Any ideas?
