Two network cards in NT
Why there are two network adapters listed in NT?
There is only one RJ-45 connector at the back.
One is Compaq Network Adapter, the other is Intel 10/100.
Do I have to uninstall one of them?

yes why..?? i wonder why there are 2 NIC ? could it work together?, the compaq NIC have deferent IP with the intel ( multihomed ) after that we install the proxy server .. is it possible..?? how about u .. have u know the answer.. please help me..

hello
yes this happens because the NC series nic card in your server(s) is a compaq bios but an intel chipset..this is showing up this way because during the install process for the nics it would have shown you both the intel and compaq nics..you NEED to uncheck the intel nic during the install process...what you need to do now to fix this is unisntall the nic completely and reinstall it..when it comes up to the screen that shows you which NIC's it will install UNCHECK The intel nic..hope this helps
