Unable to access iLO for ProLiant DL360 G6 XenServer 6.0
Hi,
I recently installed XenServer ProLiant DL360 G6 and after that HP SNMP agent was installed too.
Networking for iLO card was configured :
#for i in `seq 1 14`; do ipmitool lan print $i 2>/dev/null | grep -q ^Set && echo Channel $i;
## ipmitool lan set 2 ipsrc static
# ipmitool lan set 2 ipaddr x.x.x.x
# ipmitool lan set 2 netmask x.x.x.x
# ipmitool lan set 2 defgw ipaddr x.x.x.x
# ipmitool mc reset cold
However though all settings seems to be accepted and configured as expected, I am still unable to access iLO page for the server.
I searched for iLO # rpm -qa | grep hp
hp-health-9.40-1602.36.rhel5
hp-snmp-agents-9.40-2506.35.rhel5
hpsmh-7.2.0-3
hp-agents-xs-config-1.1-2
hp-smh-templates-9.4.0-1327.37
it seems hponcfg is not installed, could this cause iLO page inaccesable?
I checked the HP page for http://www.hp.com/support/iLO2 and it seems that there is no iLO package for XenServer 6.0?
Is any one else also experiecning the same issue? Is there any workaround to make it work please?
Experts please suggest.
Rgds,
Kumar

Re: Unable to access iLO for ProLiant DL360 G6 XenServer 6.0
you don't need anything installed on the host OS to access the iLO web interface. 'hponcfg' is a tool that allows you to modify iLO setting from the host OS.
