Upgrade from Win NT 4.0 sp6 to Small business Server 2000
***Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF2063848,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000) Inaccessable_Boot_device.
I would like to start with a clead HD before I install SBS 2k. Are their drivers specificly for this model on the HD which will prevent me from installing this new OS correctly?
What are the first steps I need to proceed.
Is there a document that can walk me thru this process for first time conversions. I didn't receive any documents with this purchase.
Thank you.
Kevin

Re: Upgrade from Win NT 4.0 sp6 to Small business Server 2000
you can update from NT4.0 to SBS 2000
- but you need to make sure you provide win2000 with the driver for the Raid controller ROC if this is DL360G1 or 5i if DL360G2 - at first boot with F6, that is why you are getting inaccessable boot device 0x7b
here is the documents you need.

File you need:

Re: Upgrade from Win NT 4.0 sp6 to Small business Server 2000
There are a few tools you can use to determine what model and parameters your Smart Array Controller is using...
The Array Configuration Utility for Windows:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/19658.html
The HP ProLiant Array Diagnostics Utility for Windows
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20061.html
Or you can use the HP Insight Diagnostics for Windows:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20080.html
All of these utilies will be usefull to you in discovering your server.
Your DL360 Generation 1 server comes with an "Compaq Integrated Smart Array Controller".
Here is a link to all the drivers and software you may need to set up your DL360 with with Win2K:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_1123.html
Hope this helps! -john
