Upgrading an ML350 G5 proliant server with a P800 array controller
Hi,
In my company we have a very old server Proliant 350G5 running Windows server 2003 with a P800 array controller. We are now looking into upgrading the whole system, mainly because windows server 2003 is no longer supported since 2015.
I searched the web but I couldn't find a definitive answer to this question: can I keep the P800 array controller if we buy a new proliant server, maybe the ML350 G10 with windows server 2016, or do I have to also buy a new array controller?

Re: Upgrading an ML350 G5 proliant server with a P800 array controller
Hi,
The p800 controller card does not support new hpe proliant servers.
Are you using the P800 card to connect the which device?

Re: Upgrading an ML350 G5 proliant server with a P800 array controller
I'm using an HP Storage Works 60 Modular Smart Array, which is connected to a ML250 G5 through a P800 controller card.
Could I still use the HP Storage Works 60 with a new server? Does the server come with a smart array controller or would I have to buy one separately?

Hi,
I checked MSA60 and P800 controller card, you can't use the new server.
