USB2 and System HALT
I have an Proliant ML370 system. I put a USB2 PCI card into the server, which it seems to recognize- but when I attach a maxstor HD and turn it on, I get a System HALT. Have not tried other USB devices at this time due to users. Any ideas?

Re: USB2 and System HALT
As usual in such cases:
I bet mentioned controller is not on the supported option list, hence you could have all sort of trouble when plugging it in. On the top of that HP boxes especially don't like non-HP hard drives.
So it's probably the compatibilty issue.

Re: USB2 and System HALT
Hi,
Yes it is not a recomended option. becasue HP would say not tested.
But i would suggest you to boot the system to OS then connect the hdd and then check it is working or not. Where if possible do check simple devices like usb keyboard and mouse to valdate the card we are usign there.
FYI
