VHDCI Compatibility

We recently purchased a third-party DLT library that has a 68-pin VHDCI interface. Even though the Integrated Dual Channel Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Controller on this server is 68-pin, does that make it compatible or do I need to make sure I use a VHDCI to Wide cable (ex. Part #295645-B21) or do I need another type of SCSI adapter like the Ultra2/Ultra3? Thank you for your assistance.

Re: VHDCI Compatibility

It's the same wiring - just a different connector size. Get a cable that goes straight from 68-pin to VHDCI (like spare P/N 340651-001 - 6 foot VHDCI-Wide).

As long as the DLT Library will work with a single-ended controller (like this one), there should be no issue.
