Virtual Floppy doesn't work
I tried to setup Virtual Floppy on two DL360 servers but it doesn't work. I followed the instructions in the ILO manual, and left the connected virtual floppy window opened. When the remote server boots, it will look at my local floppy, but will never boot from it. I used the diagnostic diskette, wich I know works fine, cause I've used it locally on the server.
There is one thing that may help find the problem: when I try to make a image file out of my floppy disk, I recieve the following message: "Unable to determine diskette geometry". I tried different diskettes, but the same message shows up. I haven't seen this message in the ILO's troubleshooting section of the manual...
Any idea of what could be wrong?

Re: Virtual Floppy doesn't work
I am having a similar problem. Can't boot from the floppy AND my hot keys don't seem to work. One of the reasons I went for the Advanced iLO was the virtual media ability. I just got off the phone with Compaq and they said I could ony use 1 floppy. Boot floppys require 4 disks! Also I didn't get an exact answer on why it wouldn't boot in the first place. I am running DL360G@ 1.4 on W2K server OS.

Re: Virtual Floppy doesn't work
I ran into the same problem. Solution: Download sp10777.exe from the Compaq site. Use this program to create an image of your floppy. Use this image in your virtual floppy window.
