VMware hardware monitoring

We are running vmware ESX 4.0 on DL380 G5s.I would like to monitor the failure of a hard drive with vCenter. On the hardware status tab, there is no storage sensor (see attachment). I do have the hpmgmt-8.3.0-vmware4x agent installed. I have read documentation that says there should be storage sensors for the hard drive. Am I missing something? Thanks, Scott

Thanks for your response. I notice this is for ESXi. Will this also work on ESX servers?

Do you have your ESX updated with latest vmware patches? This should work then, I'll check our setup and let you know (bl685c's)

Or - use Hp management as monitoring tool.

I tried running the zip file with the command below, but it keeps erroring out.

vihostupdate.pl --server 10.150.1
.150 --install --bundle c:\hp-esxi4.0uX-bundle-1.1.zip

I read the install instructions and this should work. Is there another way to get this installed?
