Web agent

After many attempts and trying versions 4.8 to 5.0, I cannot get the Compaq web agent service to start. It stays in a "starting" status, where I can't stop it until I change the startup type to manual and reboot my server. All other foundation and server agents are running fine.

Any suggestions???
