what is "NIC Active Health System Agent" about ?
Hi,
Found this software in Linux section of Gen8 Proliant's drivers. No equivalent for Windows. What is the purpose of it ?

Re: what is "NIC Active Health System Agent" about ?
Hi,
If you are referring to "Active Health System Agent for HP ProLiant Network Adapters"
This agent extracts sensor and health data from supported network adapters in HP ProLiant servers running Linux platforms.
Windows OS does not have such Agent.
Thank You!

Thanks for reply, Suman_1978. Yes, I read that it "extracts sensor and health data ", but what next ? What is destination of this data ? AHS log ? Or may I see this data somewhere else ?

Re: what is "NIC Active Health System Agent" about ?
Hi,
After much search, I could not get a explanation for these drivers but here is my guess:
If you look into the Readme/Release text files then you will see that the Network adapters are Add-On cards, so I am guessing that Intel Active Health System Agent and Broadcom Active Health System Agent sends data to the AHS log.

If I get any documentation on this, I will let you know.
Thank You!
