What PSP Version for HP Proliant ML350 G2, G3, G4p

I have 3 servers (HP Proliant ML350 G2, G3, G4p)and I was wondering which PSP Version to use. I have updated the servers with the PSP listed on the support pages for each (v7.70, v8.25, and v8.5 respectively). My question is do I need to now upgrade to the latest and greatest PSP v8.6 for all or is there Compatibility issues using the same PSP for all mentioned servers?

New PSPs are tested and supported on current generation and 2 back at the time of release. Right now that means G7, G6 and G5.

you will find all the revisions and the release notes.

If you then chose one firmware and then go to the "release notes" tab - you will find this:

I just tried and in 8.50 ML350 G4p is not listed.
If you change the URL you can get to the other versions.

In 8.40 ML350 G4p is listed, and not G2 or G3. So you need to go further back to find the last supported PSP for them.

Johan, Are you saying that the support page for the ML350 G4p is wrong? It shows 8.5 as the current version.

Hmm.. no that doesn't make sense.
The document is for the smartstart CD - not the support pack. I would go with what's on the supportpage.

In conclusion; unless anyone objects, Use the current PSP version available via model driver support page regardless of what the latest PSP version is. Thanks allâ ¦
