Whats the spec and size of the faulty memory DIMM???????
On a ML350 G5 for example, I have a faulty memory reporting EEC errors in slot 2B.
If I was by the server I could lift the lid, but if im talking to enduser on the telephone how can I best get the info I need to order the correct DIMM?
Its a pain when the server has 12Gb memory and it was shipped with 4Gb, meaning it has 4x1gb and 4x2gb DIMMs installed.
Can I find out what DIMM is in what slot remotely?
I find CPU-ID Z hit and miss.
Many Thanks.

Should be the 2nd from the bottom.
Looks like Crucial has the memory you need, also, verify the type of ML350 you have before you buy...

Re: Whats the spec and size of the faulty memory DIMM???????
I believe you need a iLo advaced to tell you that level of detail remotely.
You can also use a free 60 day iLo advanced license if you so choose. [ http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/tryinsightcontrol/index.html ]
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02714903/c02714903.pdf
iLO 3 Advanced
* detects the available memory slots and the type of memory, if any, installed in the slot
Sorry if I missed that the firs time!
