Re: Where can i get a NIC Firmware Update (free, no subscription) for ML350 Gen.?
Hello,
From the link provided below, I understand that you require the firmware for the embedded NIC for HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen9 Server. The emdedded NIC is "HPE 1Gb Ethernet 4-port 331i Adapter".
A search in the HPE Support Center for firmware of this card reveals that the an offline version, does not seem to be available. Please refer to the firmware search results for "HPE 1Gb Ethernet 4-port 331i Adapter". Please click the 'DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE' tab. At the left, in the facet 'Software Type' click the check box for 'Firmware' to view all search results.

Re: Where can i get a NIC Firmware Update (free, no subscription) for ML350 Gen.?
Get this SPP and boot from to install firmware
This SPP has all Gen9 firmware except BIOS.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Where can i get a NIC Firmware Update (free, no subscription) for ML350 Gen.?
You can have a lot of different adapters in these servers. However, these SPP are indeical except the Gen10 SPP has no Gen9 BIOS.
The 2021.10 are really made for Gen9 and Gen10 only, hence 2 different SPP.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Where can i get a NIC Firmware Update (free, no subscription) for ML350 Gen.?
Currently, i don't have any issues with it... but i just want to ensure that the latest firmware is used on our HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen. 9... BIOS is already upgraded, now i also want to upgrade the NIC and SATA/SAS controller firmware... that's it...

Re: Where can i get a NIC Firmware Update (free, no subscription) for ML350 Gen.?
Thx; can i use it on Debain 11.x? (-> Proxmox 7.x)
Originally, i was searching for a FW upgrade too which does't need a special OS... e.g. a boot .iso image or something like that. (I heard that SAS/SAS & NIC controller is not upgradeable via BIOS... but on "Embedded" option, i don't can only see the "System ROM"... i ALSO see storage and nic fw upgrade options)

Just boot from the SPP ISO or create an USB device from ISO and boot it.
Hope this helps!

You have all the install instructions here
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_13095de5299a4e97b38dcb58cb#tab3
but better just boot from the SIO.
Hope this helps!

If you don't run a supported OS better boot the ISO or USB.
Hope this helps!
